amount billed
I want people to have a website they are proud of that does not cost a small fortune, so I charge $35 an hour. Some sites are charged hourly, and others are charged a flat rate. There are a number of factors that go into figuring out what a web design will cost, which will be discussed in detail during an initial telephone consultation.

discount for animal rescue organizations
I give a generous donation to non-profit animal rescue organizations. This is my way of helping animals. During an organization's initial consultation more details will be provided.

guarantee
I want my clients to be happy with their website. Therefore, during the design process I remain in regular touch so they can see what I'm creating as we move forward. This keeps us on the same page. During the first couple weeks, we will be in touch every few days. I do try and reach out between our regularly scheduled meetings only when it is essential so as not to take up any more of your time then necessary. Changes can definitely be made at any point, but clear communication usually keeps these to a minimum. I do provide a contract that both parties agree to and sign that covers the entire process. Included in the contract is my promise that I'll continue to work on your website until you are satisfied.

options
The design choices Wix offers are excellent. There are more than enough templets to choose from, or as I prefer, I like to create my own unique ones. The available tools make this easy to do. You can have as many bells and whistles as you want or keep things simpler. There are font and color options for everyone's preference.

In addition, there are options for things like promoting events, creating forms, collecting donations, sending out a regular newsletter, setting up contact lists, selling most any kind of product, accepting payments, including music, adding video/photographs, promoting services, including menus, connecting with social media, creating a blog and so much more.

My goal is to create websites that are professional, easy to maneuver, capture what is important for your business/organization, interesting, well written, keep your visitors engaged, have a unique artistic flair and every detail - down to the tiniest - are perfect.

PLEASE NOTE: I don't use any form of AI when designing websites. It's my feeling that relying on artificial intelligence becomes a crutch that robs people of their own unique creative talents. What you get from me is the real deal.

wix cost
You'll need to pay Wix monthly or annually to keep your website active. The different price options are listed on their website.

mobile site
Included in what I'll be creating is the mobile version of your website. It'll be a condensed version of what people see on a computer or tablet since the screen space in much smaller on a cell phone.

other choices
If you need a domain or an email address these can be set up through Wix. There's an additional cost involved.

after website is published
You have the choice to maintain your website yourself or if you prefer, I can do that for you. As many automations as possible will be set up when the site is created to minimize extra work. What more than likely will need to be done periodically is adding and removing pages, information, photographs or anything else required to keep you site current. If you prefer to do this, yourself, I'll provide basic training to complete routine tasks. You also get free Wix Technical Help with whichever plan you choose. This includes guidance for all your basic questions.

my time
How long it'll take to complete your website depends a lot on whether you want me to work on an existing one or create one from scratch. On average it takes one to three weeks. The size of a website also determines how long it'll take to complete. The more pages, functions, text, images, graphs, etc. extends the time. When I'm creating, I don't let the clock determine when I start and stop. If I'm on a roll and having fun, I can work until late at night. In the end you'll get a lot more hours out of me then you'll actually pay for.

your time
You'll need to plan on being available to talk/email with me anywhere from 8 to 10 hours a week, at least for two weeks. This will vary depending on how much work needs to be done. You will also need to spend time gathering content I will need for the website such as photographs, videos, text and documents. Some of this may already be on an existing website.

writing text
The more text you can provide will cut down on me having to create it. If the majority of the text needs to be written you can either do this, or I can. This is a service that a lot of web designers do not provide because they are not writers, which I am. If I have to create most of the text, obviously this will require more of my time. I will need to interview you initially to get an idea of what needs to be written and then after I create the first draft you will be able to review it and make changes.

location
I 'm in Northern California but you can be located anywhere in the U.S. Everything we need to do can be done by email or phone calls. If you do live within a reasonable distance of me, we can initially meet in person if you prefer.
